Oven-Fried Dill Pickles Recipe

Lightly breaded with cornmeal and Parmesan, these baked pickles make a surprisingly good snack.

How To Make Oven-Fried Dill Pickles

  • ½ cup yellow cornmeal
  • ⅓ cup Parmesan cheese (grated )
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • ¼ tsp. ground red pepper
  • 32 oz. hamburger dill pickle slices (drained)
  • cooking spray
  1. Preheat oven to 450ºF.
  2. Combine first 4 ingredients in a shallow dish or pie plate; stir well.
  3. Press pickle slices between paper towels until barely moist; dredge in cornmeal mixture.
  4. Place pickles on a large baking sheet coated with cooking spray.
  5. Lightly coat pickles with cooking spray.
  6. Bake at 450ºF for 12 minutes or until golden.
  7. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
