How To Make Cabbage Jambalaya

Simple yet nutritiously filling jambalaya recipe filled with cabbages

  • 1 medium cabbage, cut up
  • cups rice
  • ½ lb ground beef
  • ½ lb ground pork
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 large onion, chopped fine
  • 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil


  1. Put oil in a baking dish and layer half of the raw cabbage, raw rice, two ground meats mixed together, onions, and pepper.
  2. Pour ½ can of the tomato sauce over layers.
  3. Repeat with another layer of the same ingredients.
  4. Pour remaining sauce, salt and pepper, and 2 cups of water over layers.
  5. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees F. Serve and enjoy!
