Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 eggs
- Food coloring (optional)
- Sprinkles (for decoration)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease 4 star-shaped cake pans.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk.

If desired, divide the batter into separate bowls and add food coloring to each to create different colored cakes.

Pour the batter into the prepared pans, filling each about 2/3 full.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, stack the star-shaped cakes on top of each other, using frosting or whipped cream between each layer to hold them together.

Decorate the cake with sprinkles or any other desired decorations.
