How To Make French Bread Sauce

Ingredients
- 4 cups of French bread, cubed
- 2 cups of whole milk
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Place the cubed French bread on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 10 minutes until golden brown and crisp.

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the toasted French bread, dried thyme, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg to the saucepan. Stir to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Gradually pour in the whole milk while stirring constantly. Continue to cook over medium heat until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.

Remove from heat and let the sauce cool slightly. Transfer to a blender and blend until smooth.

Serve the French bread sauce warm as a dipping sauce or drizzle it over roasted meats, vegetables, or pasta.
