Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 small ham (about 4 lbs)
- 1 cup ginger beer
- 1/2 cup tangerine juice
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
-
Score the ham with shallow cuts in a diamond pattern.
-
In a saucepan, combine the ginger beer, tangerine juice, brown sugar, and dijon mustard. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
-
In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water. Add the cornstarch mixture to the saucepan and stir until the glaze thickens.
-
Season the ham with salt and pepper, then brush the glaze all over the ham, making sure to get into the cuts.
-
Place the ham in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
-
Bake the ham for approximately 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C), basting with the glaze every 20 minutes.
-
Remove the foil during the last 15 minutes to allow the ham to brown.
-
Let the ham rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
-
Serve the Ginger Beer & Tangerine Glazed Ham with any remaining glaze on the side.
