How To Make Maple Plum Crumble

Preparation: 20 minutes
Cooking: 30 minutes
Total: 50 minutes

  • 4 cups plums, pitted and sliced
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, for serving (optional)

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the plums, maple syrup, and lemon juice. Stir well to coat the plums evenly. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and salt. Use your fingers or a fork to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. Sprinkle the oat mixture over the plums in an even layer.

  5. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the plum filling is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.

  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

  7. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
