How To Make Walleye Almondine Recipe

Pan-seared walleye fillets with a buttery almond sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 walleye fillets
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a shallow bowl, mix flour, black pepper, and garlic powder.

  2. Coat each walleye fillet in the flour mixture.

  3. Heat olive oil over medium-high heat in a skillet.

  4. Add the coated walleye fillets to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.

  5. Remove the walleye fillets from the skillet and keep warm.

  6. In the same skillet, melt butter and add sliced almonds. Cook until the almonds turn golden brown.

  7. Add lemon juice and salt to the skillet and mix well.

  8. Pour the almond sauce over the cooked walleye fillets.

  9. Serve hot with a side of vegetables or rice.
