How To Make Sardine and Tomato Bruschetta

A tasty Italian dish that combines sardines and tomatoes on top of crispy bread, perfect for a quick and easy appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of ciabatta bread
  • 2 garlic cloves, halved
  • 4 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 can of sardines, drained and mashed
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil.

  3. Rub the garlic cloves onto the bread slices.

  4. Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes or until crispy.

  5. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed sardines and diced tomatoes.

  6. Season with salt and pepper.

  7. Top the bread slices with the sardine and tomato mixture.

  8. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
