How To Make Sardine Stew Recipe
A hearty and flavorful stew perfect for a cozy dinner at home.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 cans of sardines in tomato sauce
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 cups of chicken or vegetable stock
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
Instructions

In a large pot, heat up the olive oil over medium heat.

Add the onion and garlic and cook for a few minutes until softened.

Add the potatoes and bell pepper and cook for a few more minutes.

Add the paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper and stir to combine.

Pour in the stock and add the bay leaf.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 15 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.

Add the sardines with the tomato sauce and simmer for another 5 minutes.

Remove the bay leaf and serve hot with some crusty bread.
