How To Make Herring Pâté Recipe

  • 8 oz smoked herring fillets
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste


  1. In a food processor, combine herring fillets, cream cheese, mayonnaise, dill, chives, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until smooth.

  2. Transfer the pâté to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. Serve with crackers, baguette slices, or vegetables.
