How To Make Sardine Pasta Recipe

A flavorful and easy-to-make pasta dish with canned sardines, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 can (4 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (4 oz) sliced mushrooms
  • 1 can (4 oz) sardines in olive oil, drained
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a pot of salted boiling water.

  2. In a separate pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook until fragrant.

  3. Add the chicken broth, diced tomatoes, and sliced mushrooms. Cook until the liquid is reduced by half.

  4. Add the drained sardines and cook for a few minutes until heated through.

  5. Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the pan with the sauce. Toss to combine.

  6. Add the chopped parsley and season with salt and pepper to taste.

  7. Serve the pasta with grated Parmesan cheese.
