How To Make Sardine Croquettes

Crunchy on the outside, flavorful on the inside, these sardine croquettes are perfect for a snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of sardines in olive oil, drained and mashed
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the mashed sardines, breadcrumbs, parsley, onion, egg, flour, salt, and pepper.

  2. Form the mixture into small balls or croquette shapes.

  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.

  4. Fry the croquettes until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  5. Drain on a paper towel.

  6. Serve hot.
