Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 0 minutes
Total: 10 minutes

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • Zest of 1 lemon

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.

  2. Once the sugar syrup has cooled, stir in the lemon juice and lemon zest.

  3. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

  4. Once the sorbet is thickened, transfer it to a lidded container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.

  5. Serve the lemon sorbet in bowls or cones, garnished with fresh mint or lemon slices.
