Total: 3 hours 10 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 400g redcurrants
  • 200g granulated sugar
  • 250ml water

  1. Rinse the redcurrants and remove any stems.

  2. In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Heat over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally.

  3. Add the redcurrants and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, until the redcurrants are soft.

  4. Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes.

  5. Using a blender or food processor, blend the mixture until smooth.

  7. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually around 25-30 minutes.

  8. Transfer the sorbet to a lidded container and freeze for at least 3 hours to fully set.

  9. Serve the redcurrant sorbet in scoops and enjoy!
