Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup rice flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour, rice flour, cornstarch, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  2. Gradually add water and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.

  3. Peel the bananas and slice them in half lengthwise.

  4. Dip each banana slice into the batter, making sure it is completely coated.

  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or skillet over medium heat.

  6. Fry the banana slices until golden brown and crispy, turning once to cook evenly on both sides. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.

  7. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the hot fritters.

  8. Serve Pisang Goreng Wijen while still warm and crispy.
