Whole Wheat Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

This whole wheat cookies recipe makes cookies a little healthier. The honey is a more natural sugar and gives the cookie a nice moist texture. The whole wheat flour gives it more nutrients and fiber while still tasting great and you get protein from the peanut butter. It puffs up when baked and has a nice cake-like-ness to it.

How To Make Whole Wheat Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 3 tbsp smooth peanut butter
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp almond extract
  • 1 small egg (or 1 tbsp Egg Beaters)
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Sift the flour, baking powder, and baking soda in a bowl. Set aside.
  3. In a different bowl, combine and mix the peanut butter and butter.
  4. Add the honey, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Stir until well blended.
  5. Add the egg and mix until everything is a uniformed color and has a smooth texture.
  6. Slowly mix in the dry ingredients. Add the chocolate chips.
  7. Form your cookies and put them on a greased cookie sheet.
  8. Pop them in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes. Let cool and serve.
