How To Make Indonesian Satay

Ingredients
- 1 lb of chicken or beef, cut into thin strips
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- bamboo skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
Instructions

In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, garlic, coriander, cumin, turmeric powder, and salt to make the marinade.

Add the chicken or beef strips to the marinade and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.

Thread the marinated meat onto the soaked bamboo skewers, about 4-5 pieces per skewer.

Preheat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the skewers for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the meat is cooked through and slightly charred.
