How To Make Eldon’s Beef Stir-Fry Recipe

A quick, flavorful stir-fry with tender beef, colorful veggies and a savory sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced into thin strips
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, cornstarch and water. Set aside.

  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat.

  3. Add beef strips and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.

  4. Remove beef from skillet with a slotted spoon and set aside.

  5. In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

  6. Add onions and bell peppers and continue to sauté until vegetables are softened, about 3-4 minutes.

  7. Return beef to skillet and pour sauce over the top. Stir gently to coat everything evenly.

  8. Cook for 2-3 minutes more, until sauce has thickened.

  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  10. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
