  • 8 slices of bread
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Powdered sugar, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, sugar, and cinnamon.

  2. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.

  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or skillet over medium heat.

  4. Carefully place the soaked bread slices into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  5. Remove the fried French toast slices from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

  6. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.

  7. Serve hot with maple syrup or your favorite toppings.
