A comforting dish made with potatoes, onions, carrots, and smoked meat, slow-cooked to perfection.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 1 celery stick, chopped
- 4 cups of water
- 2 cups of beef broth
- 1 tsp of caraway seeds
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp of marjoram
- 1 tbsp of vegetable oil
- 1 cup of cubed smoked meat
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp of chopped parsley
Instructions

In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat, add the onion and sauté until translucent.

Add the diced potatoes, carrots, and celery, and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Pour the water and beef broth over the vegetables, add the caraway seeds, bay leaf, and marjoram, and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat and simmer for 40 minutes or until the potatoes are soft.

Add the smoked meat, season with salt and pepper, and cook for another 5 minutes.

Remove the bay leaf, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve hot.
