How To Make Jets’ Deep Dish Pizza Recipe
A thick and cheesy pizza with a buttery crust.

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 cup cornmeal
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tbsp active dry yeast
- 2 tsp salt
- 28 oz canned whole tomatoes, drained and crushed
- 2 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions

In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cornmeal, vegetable oil, and melted butter. Mix well.

In a small bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

Add yeast mixture and salt to the flour mixture. Mix until combined.

Knead the dough for 5 minutes on a floured surface.

Place the dough into a greased deep-dish pizza pan. Press the dough down and up the edges of the pan.

Cover with a kitchen towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 425°F.

In a medium bowl, mix canned tomatoes, basil, oregano, and red pepper flakes.

Spread the tomato mixture over the dough.

Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.

Bake for 40 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
