Photos of Hot Dogs Under Wrap Recipe
Hot dogs baked inside crescent roll puffs make a great appetizer or main course! When I don’t have time to buy crescent rolls or pizza dough, I reach for my trusty Bisquick Baking Mix. The kids love helping me mix and spread the dough. Cut hot dogs in half for appetizer size.
How To Make Hot Dogs Under Wrap
Ingredients
- 8 hot dogs, of your choice
- 3 cups pancake mix, preferably Bisquick
- ¾ cups water, add more as needed
- 4 oz white cheddar cheese, or preferred cheese, shredded, plus more as needed
- all-purpose flour, for dusting
- cooking spray
To Serve:
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup ketchup
- ¼ cup pickle relish
- ¼ cup mustard
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a baking sheet with cooking spray and cover with parchment paper.
-
In a mixing bowl, combine the pancake mix and water until it forms a dough. Add more water as necessary if the dough is too dry.
-
Dust the working area with flour, then place the dough and knead. Flatten out to a rectangle. Slice the dough into roughly 2-inch thick strips.
-
Sprinkle roughly ½ ounce of the cheese per dough, then place the hot dog and wrap the dough around it.
-
Place rolled hot dogs onto a parchment-covered baking sheet, inches apart from each other. Repeat until you have wrapped 8 hot dogs
-
Bake for about 10 minutes and then raise the temperature to 375 degrees F. Then, bake for roughly 5 to 10 minutes until golden. The dough should plump while baking.
-
Serve with desired condiments.
