How To Make Mozzarella Poppers
Satisfy your cheese cravings with this addicting Mozzarella Poppers Recipe paired with Pizza Sauce. It's so good one serving is not enough!
Ingredients
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
- ⅔ cup glutinous rice flour, plus more for dusting
- ¼ cuo water, (up to ⅓ cup), hot
- 2½ tbsp cake flour, sifted
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter, at room temperature
- ¼ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp baking powder
- 5 cups vegetable oil, (up to 8 cups), for frying
To serve:
- ¼ cup marinara sauce
Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine both flours, sugar, salt, and baking powder.

Pour ¼ cup hot water in the center then mix until it clumps together. You may need to add more hot water as needed.

Add your butter, then knead until a smooth dough is formed.

Set the dough aside for at least 30 minutes to rest at room temperature.

Once the dough has rested, portion into 1 oz balls.

Flatten your dough balls with your fingers, then place a mozzarella cube in your dough, then stick the dough together, eventually rolling back into a ball.

Repeat until you have used up your mozzarella cubes and dough. Set aside.

Preheat your oil ready for frying.

Deep fry your mozzarella balls in batches for roughly 5 to 7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Drain onto a plate lined with paper towels.

Serve immediately with marinara sauce on the side.
