How To Make Homemade Cheese (Velveeta Copycat)

Enjoy creamy and tasty homemade cheese just like Velveeta’s made in the comfort of your kitchen using gelatin and milk powder.

Preparation: 5 minutes
Cooking: 10 minutes
Chill Time: 8 hours
Total: 8 hours 15 minutes



  • 1cupboiling water
  • 6tbspmilk powder
  • 1lbcheddar cheese,grated
  • tspgelatin


  1. Prepare a loaf box by lining a small box with plastic wrap

  2. Combine ½ cup of boiling water, 3 tablespoons of milk powder, and ¾ teaspoon of gelatin in the blender.

  3. Blend for 5 seconds.

  4. Add ½ of the shredded cheese and blend for about 3 minutes until smooth.

  5. Pour into the loaf box.

  6. Repeat with the remaining ingredients and pour on top of the first layer.

  7. Cover and refrigerate overnight before slicing.

  8. Use as desired and enjoy.
