Ingredients

  • 2 large cucumbers
  • 1 cup of white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp of celery seeds
  • 1/4 tsp of turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp of black peppercorns

Instructions

  1. Thinly slice the cucumbers and place them in a bowl.

  2. In a saucepan, combine the vinegar, sugar, salt, mustard seeds, celery seeds, turmeric, and black peppercorns. Bring to a boil.

  3. Pour the hot vinegar mixture over the sliced cucumbers.

  4. Let the pickles sit at room temperature for at least 1 hour.

  5. Transfer the pickles to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
