  • 4 large russet potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the diced potatoes and cook until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher or fork until smooth.

  3. In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter over low heat until the butter is melted.

  4. Pour the warm milk mixture into the mashed potatoes and stir until well combined.

  5. Stir in the sour cream, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.

  6. Continue to stir the potatoes until they are fluffy and creamy.
