How To Make Bolognese Tagliatelle Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb tagliatelle pasta
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef over medium heat until cooked through. Drain excess fat.

  2. Add the diced onion, carrots, celery, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.

  3. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, red wine, and tomato paste. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

  5. Cook the tagliatelle pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  6. Stir the milk into the Bolognese sauce and simmer for an additional 15 minutes.

  7. Serve the Bolognese sauce over the cooked tagliatelle pasta. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
