
How To Make Strawberry Glaze
Sweeten up your desserts with this strawberry glaze recipe. Made with real strawberries, it can add color and a bright fruity flavor to your treats.
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, cleaned and mashed
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- ¾ cup water
- few drops red food coloring, optional
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl mash the strawberries and set aside.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, and water. Stir until no lumps remain.
- Place saucepan over medium heat and add the mashed berries. Bring to a boil while constantly stirring. Mix in a few drops of food coloring if preferred. Cook and stir for 3 minutes or until liquid thickens up.
- Remove from heat and pour into a bowl and let it cool down for 10 to 15 minutes
- For a smoother consistency pour the mixture through a sieve and mash the strawberries again or use a food processor.
