  • 2red thai chiles,or 1 medium jalapeño
  • 2medium garlic cloves
  • 2tbspsugar
  • 2tbspAsian fish sauce
  • 2tbsplime juice,fresh
  • 2tbspwater


  1. In a mortar, pound the chiles, garlic, and sugar to a paste.

  2. Stir in the fish sauce, lime juice, and water.

  3. Use as desired and enjoy.
