How To Make Beginners’ Oyster Dressing

It’s a savory, creamy, and briny seafood sauce rich in umami and full of flavor from the Worcestershire sauce and the fresh oysters.

Ingredients

  • 1pintoysters,shelled, drained
  • ¾cuphalf-and-half cream
  • ¼cupworcestershire sauce
  • 2cupsbuttery round crackers,crushed
  • ½cupbutter or margarine,melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 2-quart baking dish.

  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the oysters, half-and-half, and Worcestershire sauce.

  3. Spread evenly in the prepared baking dish. In a small bowl, mix together the crackers and butter. Sprinkle over the top of the oyster mixture.

  4. Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, until the top is nicely browned and dressing is hot.
