How To Make Arnaud’s Oysters en Brochette

Grilled oysters wrapped in bacon is an absolute delight. The perfect appetizer for a seafood dinner.

Ingredients

  • 12 fresh oysters
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 1/4 cup of melted butter
  • 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

  2. Rinse oysters and shuck them, leaving them on the half shell.

  3. Cut bacon into thirds and wrap each oyster with a bacon slice, securing with a toothpick.

  4. Combine melted butter, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl to make the topping.

  5. Spoon the topping onto each oyster.

  6. Grill oyster brochettes for 6-8 minutes or until bacon is crispy and the oyster is cooked.

  7. Serve hot.
