How To Make Oyster Dressing (Stuffing)

Stuffing is a great add-on to your main dishes. More than just something to fill the turkey with during Thanksgiving, stuffing is a wonderful side dish to complement your dish of choice. There’s no stopping you in enjoying this stuffing recipe!

Ingredients

  • 6 cups bread crumbs
  • 2 cups fresh oysters, drained
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.

  2. In a large bowl, combine bread crumbs, oysters, melted butter, celery, onion, garlic, beaten eggs, parsley, sage, thyme, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Gradually add chicken broth and mix well until the dressing is moist but not soggy.

  4. Transfer the dressing to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.

  5. Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and crispy.

  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
