How To Make Salmon Belly

Take some rich salmon belly and turn it into this sweet and sour soup inspired by the Philippines. This dish is definitely healthy and hearty.

  • lb salmon fillet
  • 30 g Knorr Sinigang na Isda mix, (3 pouches)
  • kangkong leaves, removed and stalk cut into small pieces
  • 10 pcs snake beans, cut into 2 inch length
  • 2 pcs medium ripe tomato, sliced into wedges
  • 8 pcs okra
  • 6 fl oz Daikon radish, sliced
  • 1 pc medium yellow onion, wedged
  • 4 pc long green peppers
  • 3 tbsp fish sauce, (patis)
  • ¼ tsp. ground black pepper
  • quart water


  1. Pour water in a cooking pot. Let boil.
  2. Add tomato, onion, and Daikon radish. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Add salmon fillet. Cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add Knorr Sinigang na Isda mix. Stir.
  5. Put the long green peppers into the pot along with the okra,and snake beans. Cover the pot. Cook in medium heat for 2 minutes.
  6. Add kangkong stalks. Season with patis and ground black pepper. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  7. Add kangkong leaves. Turn the heat off. Cover the pot and let it stay for 5 minutes.
  8. Transfer to a serving bowl. Serve!
  9. Share and enjoy!
