How To Make French Onion Soup
A classic restaurant appetizer now available in your home!
Ingredients
- 6 cups water
- 4 pkg OXO beef cubes
- 1 ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ tsp pepper
- ½ Spanish onion
- ¼ cup butter
- toast , or croutons
- mozzarella, grated
- parmesan
Instructions
- Boil water with beef cubes.
- Add Worcestershire sauce and pepper.
- Fry up Spanish onion in butter until transparent.
- Stir into broth and simmer for one hour.
- Spray inside of onion soup bowls with Pam.
- Raise oven rack to top level, and set oven on broil.
- Put 1/2 piece of toast or some croutons in bottom of bowl, and fill with soup.
- Top with grated mozzarella, and sprinkle with 1 tsp. Parmesan.
- roil till bubbly and lightly browned.
