  • 5lbspork shoulder butt roast
  • 3tbspbrown sugar
  • 3tspsalt
  • 1tsppaprika
  • ½tsppepper
  • 2tspred pepper flakes,crushed
  • 1tspgarlic powder
  • 1tspground mustard
  • 1tspcayenne pepper
  • 1largeonion,quartered
  • ¾cupcider vinegar
  • 1tbspworcestershire sauce
  • 1tbspsugar

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl mix together brown sugar, salt, paprika, pepper, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, ground mustard and cayenne pepper. Rub all over pork,

  2. Add pork to the slow cooker. Add the onions along the sides. Add cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and sugar.

  3. Cook on Low for 12 hours. Shred with two forks. Serve on buns with creamy coleslaw if desired.
