Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork shoulder, boneless
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns, for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the pork shoulder in a slow cooker.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

  3. Pour the maple-mustard sauce over the pork shoulder, making sure it is evenly coated.

  4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 8 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.

  5. Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.

  6. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and stir it into the remaining sauce.

  7. Serve the pulled pork on hamburger buns and enjoy.
