Shrimp Creole Crockpot Recipe

A recipe from down south, this Cajun shrimp recipe will have you whistlin’ Dixie.


You can choose to spice this recipe up or keep the heat mild. Serve this on hot rice to satisfy the tummy.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, deveined and shelled
  • 1 ½ cup celery, diced
  • 1 ¼ cup onion, chopped
  • ¾ cup bell pepper, chopped
  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 28 oz whole tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic , or 1 tsp garlic salt or ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 6 drops Tabasco, optional

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except shrimp.
  2. Cook for 3 to 4 hours on High or 6 to 8 hours on Low.

  3. Add shrimp on the last hour of cooking.

  4. Serve over hot rice.
