Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 12 minutes
Total: 22 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 swordfish steaks (about 6 ounces each)
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper to make the marinade.

  2. Place the swordfish steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, making sure to coat each side. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator.

  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

  4. Remove the swordfish steaks from the marinade and place them on the grill. Cook for about 6 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and has nice grill marks.

  5. Remove from the grill and let the swordfish rest for a few minutes before serving.

  6. Serve the grilled marinated swordfish steaks with a squeeze of lemon juice and your favorite side dishes.
