How To Make Steamed Clams Recipe

A classic seafood recipe that brings out the natural sweetness of clams from within their shells.

  • 2 lbs of fresh clams
  • 1/2 cup of white wine
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp of unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley leaves for garnish


  1. Rinse and scrub the clams under cold running water, then drain.

  2. In a large pot, add the white wine, garlic, butter, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.

  3. Add the clams and cover the pot with a lid. Steam for 8-10 minutes or until all the clams open up.

  4. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley leaves.
