How To Make Clam and Shrimp Boil Recipe

A hearty seafood boil with clams and shrimp in a spicy broth.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs clams
  • 1 lb shrimp
  • 4 cups chicken stock
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 4 ears of corn, cut in quarters
  • 4 potatoes, cut in small chunks
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 lemon, cut in wedges
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring stock and water to a boil in a large pot.

  2. Add onion, garlic, Old Bay seasoning, and cayenne pepper.

  3. Add potatoes and simmer for 10 minutes.

  4. Add corn, clams, and shrimp. Simmer for 10-15 minutes or until clams are opened.

  5. Drain broth and place seafood and vegetables on a large platter.

  6. Melt butter and pour over seafood.

  7. Serve with lemon wedges and season with salt and pepper.
