How To Make Clam Bake Recipe

A classic seafood dish made with clams, potatoes, corn, and sausage, all steamed together in a pot with beer and spices.

  • 2 lbs fresh clams
  • 4 small potatoes, quartered
  • 2 ears of corn, shucked and cut in half
  • 1 lb sausage, sliced into rounds
  • 1 bottle beer
  • 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Rinse clams thoroughly and soak in cold water for 20 minutes.

  2. In a large pot, add potatoes, corn, sausage, beer, and spices. Stir to combine.

  3. Bring the pot to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, add the clams to the pot, cover with a lid, and steam for 10-12 minutes, or until the clams have opened and the potatoes are tender.

  4. Serve hot and enjoy!
