How To Make Clam and Black Bean Soup Recipe
A hearty soup made with tender clams, black beans, and a savory broth.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 16 oz. fresh clams, cleaned and scrubbed
- 1 lime, juiced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.

Add onion and garlic, and cook until tender.

Add cumin and cayenne pepper and sauté for 1-2 minutes.

Add black beans, broth, and diced tomatoes.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.

Add in cleaned clams and lime juice. Cover and simmer until clams open. Discard any unopened clams.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve hot.
