How To Make Clam and Potato Chowder

A comforting, creamy soup loaded with tender clams and potatoes.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups diced potatoes
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 2 cans chopped clams, drained
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, cook until softened.

  2. Add diced potatoes and chicken broth, bring to a boil and then simmer for about 15 minutes, or until potatoes are soft.

  3. Add half and half and chopped clams, heat through but do not boil.

  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
