How To Make Southern Fried Chicken Livers

Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken livers
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

Place the chicken livers in a bowl and pour the buttermilk over them. Let them soak for at least 10 minutes.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Remove the chicken livers from the buttermilk and dredge them in the flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

Carefully place the coated livers into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Remove the fried livers from the oil and drain on paper towels.

Season with additional salt and pepper if desired.
