How To Make Asian Tuna Salad

  • 1 lb fresh tuna steaks
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 4 cups mixed salad greens
  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped peanuts


  1. Preheat a grill or skillet over high heat.

  2. Season the tuna steaks with salt and pepper, then grill or sear for 2-3 minutes per side until cooked to desired doneness. Let cool for a few minutes, then thinly slice.

  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, rice vinegar, honey, garlic, and ginger to make the dressing.

  4. In a large bowl, combine the mixed salad greens, cucumber, carrot, cilantro, green onions, and sliced tuna.

  5. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss to coat evenly.

  6. Sprinkle the chopped peanuts over the top.

  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
