How To Make Roast Beef Hash

Turn leftovers into a delicious breakfast in this roast beef hash recipe, made with gravy and potatoes, for the perfect start to your day.

  • 2 tbsp butter, or margarine
  • ½ cup onion, chopped
  • cups potatoes, diced
  • 3 cups roast beef, leftover, cubed
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup gravy, leftover


  1. In large skillet, cook onion in butter until tender crisp. Add remaining ingredients except milk and gravy.
  2. Whisk milk and gravy together until smooth. Add to skillet.½ Stir all together and bring to a boil.

  3. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for approximately 20 minutes or until potatoes are done. The liquid should be absorbed.
  4. Serve and enjoy.

Recipe Notes

If there is no leftover gravy, just increase milk to 1½ cups.
