  • 1 pound penne pasta

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup vodka
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook penne pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes and sauté for 1-2 minutes.

  3. Add crushed tomatoes, heavy cream, and vodka to the skillet. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Add parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir until combined.

  5. Add cooked penne pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Stir until the pasta is coated with the sauce.
