How To Make Linguine with Pesto and Cherry Tomatoes

A delicious and easy-to-make pasta dish with the flavors of basil pesto and sweet cherry tomatoes.

  • 1 pound linguine
  • 1/2 cup basil pesto
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water.

  2. In a separate pan, heat the pesto over low heat until warmed through.

  3. Add the cherry tomatoes to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.

  4. Drain the linguine and toss with the pesto and cherry tomatoes. If the mixture is too thick, add some of the reserved pasta water to thin it out.

  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste and top with grated parmesan cheese.
