How To Make Linguine with Shrimp Scampi Recipe

A classic pasta dish with succulent shrimp in a white wine and garlic sauce.

  • 16 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Cook pasta according to package directions and set aside.

  2. Season shrimp with salt and pepper.

  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add shrimp. Cook for 2 minutes on each side until pink.

  4. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

  5. In the same skillet, add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

  6. Add white wine and lemon juice to the skillet and let it simmer for 2 minutes.

  7. Add butter to the skillet and stir until melted.

  8. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until coated with the sauce.

  9. Add shrimp to the skillet and toss gently with the pasta.

  10. Top with chopped parsley and serve hot.
