Cheese Tortellini with Meat Sauce Recipe

Cheese Tortellini with Meat Sauce Recipe

If you’re looking for a new and easy pasta recipe to make for your family, then I highly suggest this cheese tortellini recipe. It’s super delicious and it only takes 20 minutes to make! It’s definitely one of my most recommended ways on how to cook tortellini.

Ever since I started making this tortellini pasta recipe, it has been a weekly request from my kids and husband and I can’t help but always give in because I also can’t get enough of this flavor-packed tortellini pasta. I like using store-bought frozen tortellini to save more time because I simply just throw them in a pot of boiling water and let them cook without needing to thaw first! I also get my sauce for tortellini from the grocery store but if I have more time to spare, I sometimes make the marinara sauce from scratch.

The cheese filled pasta amazingly works well with the meat sauce. It’s much like the classic favorite bolognese sauce that I use for any tomato-based pasta recipe. If I feel like adding a creamy touch to it, I add at least half a cup of heavy cream to the sauce. The sauce also has chunks of seasoned ground beef so it’s a really filling meal. I sometimes switch up the meat to Italian sausage or grilled chicken because they also work well with marinara. It’s savory, flavorful, and aromatic which is very desirable to the palate of all ages.

I always serve it with a hefty serving of tortellini sauce to make sure that it coats each shell. Aside from the cheese inside the tortellini, I also top them generously with parmesan cheese for extra flavor. This cheese tortellini recipe will surely be a hit to anyone, I promise you!
